Negative cut goalkeeper gloves (and hybrids that utilise this style) have become increasingly popular over recent years. They are similar to the Flat Cut in that they use a single piece of latex attached to the backhand via gussets, the key difference is that the stitching/gussets are inside the glove. This provides a much tighter and snug fit with control on the ball that is more "true" to your hand.

Our popular Hyla® cut is a staple among many of our pros - it effortlessly combines a flat base to the fingers with stitch-less roll fingers, providing an unrivalled level of comfort and natural claw like shape to aid ball control & retention. It was specifically developed for the pro game and since its introduction with the iconic Nova range, it continues to deliver.

Our "SL" hybrid combines a negative lower finger (let's say around two thirds of the length) which transitions into negative roll tips. This means a natural pre-curved shape that is perfect for catching and ball retention, while the rolled nature of the tips allows better latex coverage on the ball around the edge of your fingers. It's the tightest fit we offer, both negative or neg-roll fans will be right at home.

By combining two of our most popular hybrids available, the "Hyla SL" cut delivers a truly elite feel on the ball. The base of the fingers are flat and pre-curved for maximum latex coverage and claw like ball retention, while the upper finger is negative-rolled like our SL models, meaning they hug your fingertips to lock in that tight and true feeling on the ball where it really matters.

“Vortex” combines the very best of multiple cuts for tight control AND ultimate latex coverage. The middle two fingers are flat for maximum grip around the centre of the ball, while the outer fingers feature our popular SL design, offering a wrapped, snug fit to grip the edges. Unlike typical flat cuts, it has negative stitching for a tighter, more modern feel.

Roll Fingers are legendary and represent one of the first attempts to modernise and evolve how gloves fit, following the introduction of the Flat Palm. An absolute classic still popular to this day, they are named "roll finger" due to the fact that the backhand is connected to the palm and does not use gussets. Causing the latex to "roll" around the fingers. The result is a fairly spacious fit that provides a lot of latex coverage on the ball.

The Flat Palm style was one of the very first to emerge once the goalkeeper glove market began to develop. On a flat palm cut you will see that its stitched gussets are located on the outside vs the inside of cuts that utilise negative, this gives a more looser feel. The cut also consists of one single piece of latex attached to the back of the glove, with the gussets in between the fingers and palm. It is known for great latex coverage on the ball.
