HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information in a variety of ways, all of which depends on the info you supply us. We have listed below a clear breakdown of exactly what we use, how we us it and why.

Your Contact Details

  • Service based communication via email or text message: We need this information to send you things like order confirmation emails and shipping updates
  • Delivering your order: Quite simply, we need to know where to ship your order!
  • Anti-fraud measures: To protect both The One Glove Company and you, our customers, from fraud
  • Displaying One Glove ads across the web: In order to share our latest offers and products with you as soon as they go live
  • Sending info via SMS, post or email: To send you the latest and greatest we have to offer - we only do this with your permission and you can opt in or out any time.
  • Customer feedback & surveys: We do this in order to get direct feedback on how we can improve our product, business and more

Your DOB

  • Prevention of fraud: Quite simply, to protect both you and One Glove from fraud.
  • Birthday surprises: Only if you've opted into our messaging, from time to time we might send you a surprise offer on your birthday.

Payment Details

  • Processing payments: To take payments for the products you are purchasing and to refund you in the event of a return.
  • Communication History Customer support and service: We have to do this in order to be able to give you the customer support and service you expect, typically this is how you have engaged with us over email and social media (such as a a Twitter DM).

Order History and Favourite items

This is a record of what you have purchased from us and items you may have left in your basket, or saved for another time.
  • Customer service: If you have an issue regarding a specific order, our CS team need access to your order history to assist.
  • Returns: As per above, the team will need access to the order history to process returns and refunds.
  • Sell our products: Quite simply, if you are unable to place products in your basket, then you can't purchase them!
  • Suggest products: Based on what you buy, we can suggest similar products to ensure you are seeing what you like.

Information about your device and how you use our website

This is information provided when you visit our website, such as IP address, the type of device you use, location data and generally how you use our website (such as what pages you visit, what actions you take)

  • Location based personalisation: When visiting our website we want to ensure the most relevant and best user experience possible, the above data (which cannot identify you) is used to figure out which currency to show you, which country we direct you to and which language we display
  • Improve our website and user experience: By measuring how you interact with our site we can develop better content, better pages and generally better user experiences which benefit you. For example, if we see visitors are struggling to find something specific, we know we need to improve our menu system.

We would like to emphasise that you do not have to give us this information and we completely respect that, however we must inform you that your experience on the site may be significantly inferior to those that have provided such information - you may not be able to buy from the site, have country specific stock/currencies and more.

This type of data is always aggregated and anonymous in that it does not identify you, it is used for a variety of reasons labelled above but can be generally broken down into research reasons, user experience measurement, data analytics, customer service and generally improving our website.

SHARING YOUR INFORMATION

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party – including your name, address, email address or credit card information.

However, we share your data with the following categories of companies as an essential part of being able to provide our services to you:

  • Companies in the One Glove group, as sometimes different areas of our group are responsible for different activities.
  • Companies that do things to get your purchases to you, such as payment service providers, warehouses, order packers, and delivery companies.
  • Professional service providers, such as marketing agencies, advertising partners and website hosts, who help us run our business.
  • Credit reference agencies, law enforcement and fraud prevention agencies, so we can help tackle fraud.

You may choose to take advantage of some of our additional services, in which case, depending on your choices we may share your data with the following categories of companies to fulfil the services you have asked for:

  • Social Media sites (for example if you choose to link your accounts to us) and other companies approved by you.
  • Other third party payment providers, when you choose to use their payment services, such as Klarna.

We may also provide third parties with aggregated and anonymised information and analytics about our customers. Before we do so, we will make sure that it absolutely does not identify you .

SEEING ONE GLOVE ADS ONLINE

We use online advertising to keep you aware of what we’re up to and to help you see and find our products. You may see One Glove banners and ads when you are on other websites and apps, such as Social Media. We manage this through a variety of digital marketing networks and ad exchanges. We also use a range of advertising technologies. The banners and ads you see are based on information we hold about you, or your previous use of One Glove (for example, your One Glove search history, and the products you view on One Glove) or on One Glove banners or ads you have previously clicked on. HOLDING YOUR DATA

We’ll hold on to your information for as long as you continue to be a One Glove customer and for as long as we are required to keep it to ensure we meet our legal requirements across the globe. If you no longer wish to be a customer you can contact our Support team and request that we close your account.

However, we have a legal requirement to keep some of your personal data even after you have asked us to delete it. We will only keep what we absolutely need to, and only to make sure we can meet our legal or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our Terms & Conditions.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

  • How to stop marketing messages from One Glove Emails: You can click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive.
  • Text Messages: If you are U.S. or Canada based, you can simply reply STOP to the SMS. If you are UK or Australia based, there is a link at the bottom of every text which will unsubscribe you. Just like on our emails.

If you tell us you don’t want to receive marketing messages it might take a few days for all our systems to be updated, so we would ask for your patience as you might get messages from us while we process your request. Please note that opting out of marketing messages will not stop service communications, such as order updates, or where you have asked for a specific ‘back in stock’ notification.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may change this page from time to time, to reflect how we are processing your data. If we make significant changes, we will make that clear on the One Glove website or other One Glove services, or by some other means of contact such as email, so that you are able to review the changes before you continue to use One Glove.
