A former Slovakia U21 keeper, Maroši started his professional career at Wigan Athletic, scoring his contract after an impressive trial. He made an appearance for Wigan's under-21s in a friendly against his former club Barnoldswick Town. He later joined Doncaster Rovers on a two-year deal and was released at the end of the 2018–19 season. Maroši signed for Shrewsbury Town on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
